Account Deletion Policy & Instructions

This page describes how users can delete their accounts and personal data associated with Aquapal AI, a service developed by Jack Park.

If you decide to delete your account, we will permanently remove all personal data and content associated with your account, subject to the conditions detailed below.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

We offer two convenient ways to request account deletion. You can choose either the in-app option or contact us directly via email.

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

You can request account deletion directly from the mobile app:

  • 1. Open the Aquapal AI app on your mobile device.
  • 2. Log into the account you wish to delete.
  • 3. Navigate to Profile
  • 4. Tap the Delete Account button.
  • 5. Confirm your request when prompted.

Option 2: Email Deletion Request

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot log in, you can request deletion via email:

  • 1. Send an email to aquapalai@gmail.com.
  • 2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
  • 3. In the email body, please specify the email address associated with your Aquapal AI account (e.g., your Google or Apple sign-in email).
  • 4. Once we receive your request, our support team will verify your identity and process the deletion.

2. What Data is Deleted

Upon processing your account deletion request, the following information will be permanently and securely deleted from our databases:

  • Personal Account Information: Your name, email address, gender, profile photo (if any), and third-party authentication identifiers (Google/Apple login tokens).
  • User-Generated Content: All uploaded images of your aquariums, tank descriptions, and water quality analysis parameters (Nitrate, Nitrite, pH, etc.).
  • Livestock & Tank Settings: Any customized configurations, aquarium specifications, and monitoring history.

3. What Data is Retained and Retention Period

To ensure the safety, security, and integrity of our services, and to comply with legal obligations, we may retain certain data:

  • Anonymized Technical Data: General usage statistics, application crash reports, and technical log data will be kept in an anonymized, aggregated format. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) and is used exclusively for training and improving our AI models and service performance.
  • Legal Compliance: In rare cases where legal requirements or regulatory disputes apply, we may retain specific transaction or request logs for the duration mandated by the relevant laws.

Process & Timeframe

Once requested, your account and all associated personal data will be completely deleted or anonymized within 30 days (1 month). After this period, your data cannot be recovered.
